The Arab Student Union at Caltech

Our Mission

The Caltech Arab Student Union (ASU) was established in 2024 and strives to create a safe and inclusive community for Arab students on campus, while promoting understanding and appreciation of Arab cultures among the broader Caltech community. Our mission is guided by the following goals:

(1) Creating a Safe Space for Arabs on Campus

We strive to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where Arab students can connect with their cultural heritage and engage in meaningful dialogue with peers who share similar backgrounds.

(2) Fostering Cultural Awareness

We plan to host events, workshops, and activities that celebrate the diverse traditions and histories of the Arab world, while also educating the broader campus about Arab cultures.

(3) Promoting Intercultural Dialogue

We aim to organize collaborative events with other cultural and student organizations to promote cross-cultural understanding and mutual respect on campus.
